jumpjet private jet aircraft corporate travel
Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any fees beyond my membership fee?
No. There are no additional fees of any kind. We do charge $5 — $15 for services such as booking rental cars or making certain reservations.

How can your prices be so much lower than other private jet companies?
Jumpjet is a membership program that provides private jet travel to people who would otherwise fly business or first class with a major airline. We capitalize on the buying power of a broad membership base.

Can I let a guest fly without me?
Yes. The guest must be an immediate family member, be pre-named on the plan, and able to fly unaccompanied.

Can I get one more flight in a given month if I need it?
Yes. Just purchase another membership for that month or upgrade your membership to a higher level.

Can I reserve a jet with less advance time than my membership allows?
No, but you can Jump On any flight you choose. If a flight is listed on the Jump On reservations board, you can take that flight.

Can I fly internationally?
We will begin service to Mexico, the Caribbean and Canada in the spring of 2008. Gold, Platinum and Corporate level members will be able to participate. There will be an additional per flight fee for all international destinations.

Will you fly to Hawaii or Alaska?
We plan to add Hawaii and Alaska as destinations in the near future.

Can I make reservations for holidays and special events well in advance?
Yes, we encourage long-term reservations. You may reserve up to a year in advance as long as the reservation period falls within your current contract period. For example, if you sign up in May and want to fly in November, you must have at least seven months remaining on your contract.

When I reserve a jet, do I get it all to myself?
Possibly. If no one else has requested the same itinerary and destination, you will likely have the aircraft to yourself.

Can I choose the departure date and time for my flights?
We strive to meet every member's preferences. If you are the first member to request an aircraft for a particular date and destination, then this is when you will travel. Any other members who wish to travel on the same itinerary will be able to add themselves (plus guests, space permitting) to the flight. If you wish to travel on an aircraft that has already been booked, you will need to fly as per that pre-determined itinerary.

How do I know what jet I will be in?
The fleet of jets we use is provided by the Private Flight Group or one of their FAA certified operators, and cover a wide variety of modern jet aircraft. They range from 6 to 12 passenger jets or larger depending on your needs and how many other members wish to travel to the same destination. Please visit the Jets page to learn more about our aircraft.

What happens if I request a reservation and there are no planes available?
Jumpjet memberships work on a first come, first served basis. However, if you consistently have difficulty getting reservations for your preferred time and dates, please contact us at info@jumpjet.com so that we can give you special consideration. Members can make reservations up to a year in advance with a full-year membership.

If I stay overnight at my destination, will the jet wait for me?
It depends on how busy the jets are. In some cases the jet may wait for you. In other instances it will depart and continue onto the next destination, then return to pick you up.

Can I travel to multiple destinations in one day or over a series of days?
Yes, if your membership allows for this. For example, say you are a Silver member based in New York and want to fly Florida. That flight requires one membership. If you then want to continue on from Miami to Dallas, you may need to purchase a second membership that will cover the extra flight and distance.

How do I know if a jet is booked?
Simply check online in the Member's area of our web site. The site will soon show booked aircraft schedules as well. Note that even if a plane is booked, it may be flying to the destination you want and you'll be able to Jump On.

Am I always guaranteed to get a jet or a seat on a jet?
We operate on a first come first served basis. Jumpjet works best for members who can plan their travel in advance. You should always be able to reserve an aircraft, but if in a rare instance we are unable to provide one then you will be granted a complimentary flight at the end of your membership term.

Will I ever experience delays like the major airlines are famous for?
Severe weather can delay any flight. However, Jumpjet aircraft are able to take off as soon as the weather clears. Major airlines must often wait for connecting flights to arrive, spreading delays and cancellations through their systems. Mechanical issues may also delay a flight. Safety is our top concern and pilots will always choose safety over other considerations. In the event of a delay, you will be notified as far in advance as possible so that you will not be further inconvenienced by sitting in a terminal.

Are discounts available?
Yes. Prepaying membership contracts in advance will yield savings. You may also take advantage of our rewards program to gain extra flights, membership months and cash prizes.

Is there a corporate program for companies with multiple frequent travelers?
Yes. There are limited corporate memberships available in each city we serve. Please refer to Corporate Programs. These are available by application only.

Do I save by choosing a longer membership period?
Yes. There are significant savings for longer membership agreements. Please refer to the Membership levels. Upon renewal, when you pre-pay any contract you will receive two free months on a 12 month membership, one free month for a six month prepaid membership, or one free round trip for a three month prepaid membership.

Do you have a dress code for passengers?
There is no formal dress code. However, we do ask that you be considerate of your fellow passengers when using the aircraft.

Is there a family plan?
Yes. You may name your spouse and your children over the age of 16 to exercise your privileges under the plan. Your 16 year old may chaperon siblings age 12 and older. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or prime member on all flights. You may only name spouses and children who live at home with you, or who are are enrolled in college, to your plan. Extended family members will not qualify to fly without you, but they may always accompany you on a flight within your guest allowance. The family add-on plan is $500 per contract period.

Can I fly coast to coast?
Yes. Our Coast to Coast plan allows members two flights per month between coasts. All other rules apply. The cost of the plan is $10,000 per month and it includes the ability to Jump On any coast to coast flight (if seats are available) at no extra charge. At this time the plan is available to only 100 members (50 in NY and 50 in LA or San Francisco).

How far can I fly under the standard membership plans?
Silver, Gold and Platinum standard plan members may fly 1,000, 1,500 and 1,800 nautical miles from their origination airport. For example, a member could fly from New York to Florida on a Silver plan or Albuquerque to New York on a Gold plan. Platinum members can travel 1,800 miles each way.

What happens if I can't use all the flights allowed under my plan in a given month?
If you attempt to make reservations under your plan but Jumpjet cannot meet your requests in a given month, or during your contract period, we will grant a make-up flight and add it to the end of your contract term. For example, if you are a Silver member and cannot get a reservation for a second flight in one of the months during your six month contract, we will grant one additional flight at the end of your current contract, at no charge. Please note that if a member allows a month to pass without making any requests for reservations, the flights to which that member was entitled in that month under his/her plan are forfeited and will not be compensated.
